How to Gain Healthy Weight

Almost everything you see online about weight is direct towards shedding excess weight. However, most people fail to realize that gaining healthy weight is equally important. Just like losing weight, packing up additional pounds is not always easy. You might have considered downing things like ice cream, pasta, cheese bread, and some doughnuts. Well, eating these foods can help you add some weight but is it is indeed not the best way to add more weight.

This is an important question to ask whereas millions if not billions of people are struggling to shed some weight. Most people struggling to put on weight do it for a reason. It could be that they are recovering from stress, digestive problems, dental surgeries, or an illness that made them lose weight. If you are planning to put on some weight, it is imperative to ensure you do it the right way.

Weight gaining Tips

Eat Several Foods Together

Most nutritionists recommend eating at least three food groups when trying to gain. Eating several foods at once means that you will be offering your body a broader spectrum of nutrients needed for its developments. Ideally, have some carbs, proteins, and essential vitamins in all your servings.

Eat More Often

Another “gain rule” to use is to eat more often. If possible, you should never allow more than four hours pass without eating. Skipping meals means depriving your body of the energy needed to keep it going. Eating regularly spaced meals often goes a long way in preventing the body from losing significant tissue.

Eat Healthy Foods

As much as you should be eating often, you also need to watch what you eat. For healthy and sustained gains, stay away from junks and instead pickup nutrient-rich foods. If possible, go foods that pack up lots of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. An excellent example of such foods is dried fruits with no added sugar or preservatives.

Healing and regeneration often takes place while sleeping. As such, this implies that sleep time is more or less the rush hour of building muscles. Thus, always eat a healthy snack right before you go to bed and at the same time avoid eating a lot to avoid feeling stuffed.

Eating the right foods will help you build muscles only if done in the right way. Part of your strategy should be to avoid anything that leads to unhealthy weight gains.
